श्वेत क्रांति के माध्यम से भारत में दूध उत्पादन में 70 के दशक से ही उन्नति होने लगी जिसमें गुजरात स्थित आणंद के ग्रामीण परिवेश और विशेषकर महिलाओं ने बहुत योगदान दिया। जमीनी स्तर से आने वाले एवं आम जन से सीधा संपर्क रख उनकी दिक्कतों को समझते हुए प्रधानमंत्री श्री.नरेंद्र मोदी ने इस क्षेत्र के साथ ही मजदूर, छोटे व्यापारी और किसान और दुकानदारों के लिए एक मजबूत सर्व समावेशी योजना पर काम कर सभी को सहकारिता से जोड़ना शुरू किया। सहकारी संस्थाओं को स्वायत्त अधिकार देने के साथ ही उनका विस्तार, रोजगार सर्जन और महिला सशक्तिकरण के लिए डेयरी किसानों को अधिक संगठित कर डेयरी सहकारी समितियों के क्षेत्रों की पहुँच बढ़ाई गई। इसमें राष्ट्रिय डेयरी विकास ने श्वेत क्रांति 2.0 में महत्वपूर्ण समन्वय बनाया है।

भगवान ऋषभदेव जैन धर्म के प्रथम तीर्थंकर हैं। जिन्होंने प्रजा को 'असि' (शस्त्र-कार्य), 'मसि' (लेखन-कार्य), 'कृषि' (खेती), 'विद्या', 'शिल्प' और 'वाणिज्य-व्यापार' जैसे छह कर्मों का ज्ञान दिया। ऋषभदेव ने ही 'कृषि करो या ऋषि बनो' का उपदेश दिया, जिससे कृषि और आध्यात्मिक जीवन दोनों का महत्व स्थापित हुआ। ‘मेरे पिताजी भी यही कहते थे की मैने भगवान ऋषभदेव की कृषि संस्कृति अपनाई है।’ किसानों की उन्नति के बारे में विचार करते हुए मुझे यह सब याद आता है।

When I sit with young girls in government schools of Rajasthan, I see two Indias. One India still carries memories of cruelty: women burnt in dowry fires, acid attack survivors forced into silence, daughters denied birth itself through female foeticide, and the haunting stories of rape victims who could not find their voice. The other India is rising with courage and confidence, supported by reforms, policy, and a collective will that is slowly bringing women out of the shadows. Women empowerment today is no longer an abstract idea. It is visible in laws, in classrooms, in households, and in the inspiring lives of millions of women who are rewriting India’s story.
